"Tyson"

Tyson

At South Point Pet Hospital we work with the Surrey SPCA to ensure their cats and dogs are spayed or neutered and tattooed prior to adoption. We also tend to SPCA animals needing veterinary assessments or treatment.

This is how we met "Tyson", an 8 month old, neutered male, domestic short hair, black and white cat. The SPCA brought Tyson to us because a car had hit him and as a stray it was the shelters responsibility to care for him until an owner could be found. Upon initial examination it was determined that Tyson would need to stay with us for a while and receive treatment. His x-rays revealed that his lower left hind leg was severely dislocated and would require amputation.

Tyson was going to require a major surgery and it would take time him time to adjust to missing the limb. He had a great personality and seemed to get along quite well with our clinic cat, Ernie, so we decided that he would remain in the care of our hospital and become Ernie's companion.
